Former Spanish Soccer Federation (RFEF) president Luis Rubiales, who resigned from his publish amid accusations of sexual assault, seems to launching his assortment of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), that includes a picture of him as a toddler.

In an X publish on Jan. 16, Rubiales printed a display screen copy of a letter from a South Korean firm referred to as The Moon Labs, which mentioned that the previous Spanish Soccer Federation president “made a small mistake in girls world cup.” In a bid to “honor Luis Rubiales for his contributions to Spanish and World soccer,” the Korean startup minted an NFT assortment, which is now obtainable on OpenSea, a market for digital collectibles.

In response to OpenSea, the so-called Rubiales NFT assortment consists of 170 objects, with the creator incomes 10% as royalties. As per the outline, the NFT assortment combines Luis Rubiales’ “achievements as an expert athlete and his experiences from his childhood, successfully portraying his story.”
Rubiales resigned from his publish in September 2023, following a scandal involving a non-consensual kiss he gave to Spain participant Jenni Hermoso throughout the Ladies’s World Cup last. In October 2023, FIFA banned Rubiales from all soccer actions for 3 years.
